First Continental Congress Convenes

Delegates from twelve of the thirteen colonies gathered in Philadelphia at Carpenters' Hall for the First Continental Congress, called in response to the Intolerable Acts. The Congress petitioned King George III for redress and agreed to a boycott of British goods.
