Sojourner Truth Dies

Sojourner Truth, the abolitionist and women's rights activist, died in Battle Creek, Michigan. Born into slavery, Truth became one of the most powerful orators of the 19th century, famous for her "Ain't I a Woman?" speech at the 1851 Women's Rights Convention.
