Egypt-Israel Peace Treaty Signed at White House

Egyptian President Anwar Sadat and Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin signed the Egypt-Israel Peace Treaty on the White House lawn, brokered by President Jimmy Carter. The agreement, built on the Camp David Accords, marked the first peace treaty between Israel and an Arab nation.
